Eleanor Whitfield

Eleanor Whitfield writes Decor With A Dream for anyone trying to make a home feel good on a real-world budget: mobile homes, small yards, starter homes and rentals.

She's the friend you'd text a photo of your porch to and ask, “What would you do here?” Her answer is usually cheaper than you'd expect: a coat of paint, a string of lights, the right planter in the right spot. Every post covers what it costs, what you'll need, and which shortcuts are worth taking.

She has a soft spot for before-and-afters, porches that finally get used, and anything that makes a place feel settled rather than temporary. If a job needs a professional (electrical, structural or gas), she'll say so plainly.
